An Introduction to 5G Technologies

The book is an introductory level reference type book that will cover a large breadth of technologies related to 5G and beyond. The book will start with the fundamental technologies in cellular architecture, information coding, transceiver design, and electromagnetics. A new method of analyzing both the energy efficiency and capacity of a cellular network will be explained in the second chapter. After the reader has reviewed the fundamentals, the second part of the book will cover centralized baseband, signaling, waveforms, radio, antennas, and massive MIMO. The third part will cover spectrum, standards committees, consortia, and commercial/market potential.
