This book aims to address the impact of information systems on the management of asymmetric strategic alliances South North through a series of case studies referring to distinct forms of alliances. Now at the heart of the value creation process, the information system is more and more working in conjunction with organizational choices related to the form of the alliance as well as management systems and organizational processes specific to each partners. It particularly comes to understanding the nature of the relationship between organizational design and the integration of informatic system mode adopted within asymmetric alliances. We will explain how particular the informatic system integration procedures are closely linked to organizational and structural choice of the alliance and impact the diffusion mechanisms of information, coordination and control of joint activities.
