Constructing Social Scientific Theories

Marshall Scott Poole has a joint appointment as Professor of Communication and Professor of Information and Operations Management at Texas A&M. Recipient of the Golden Anniversary Monograph Award from the Speech Communication Association and ICA Fellow 2004, he is co-author and co-editor of Research on the Management of Innovation, Communication and Group Decision-Making, and Working Through Conflict. He is a member of the editorial boards of 9 journals, including Human Communication Research, Academy of Management Review, and Information Systems Review and a repeat recipient of National Science Foundation grants for research on group decision-making and communication technology. He is also the editor of Blackwell's series, Foundations in Communication Theory.
