Children account for approximately 35% of imaging cases in hospitals. Paediatric radiography has idiosyncratic differences from adult imaging and presents the practitioner with complex challenges. These challenges need addressing quickly so that the patient doesn’t encounter further stress. This book is written at the suggestion of the authors’ students and colleagues and is intended as a ready-reference for the radiographer encountering children in the radiology department, be it in a district general hospital or a specialist paediatric unit.
