This book offers a descriptive yet concise guide on how to properly conceive and, eventually, execute research project within a generic engineering field. It covers most aspects of research development, from the conception of an idea to disseminating the results of the ensuing project. The contents are arranged in a common sequence of the activities for carrying out a research project. Accordingly, the book is organized in three main parts with eight chapters. This includes an overview section which covers proposal development and literature review, followed by a section on data and methods that explores quantitative and qualitative experiments, and ends with a section on presentation and publication.
