Counseling the Culturally Diverse: Theory and Practice, Eighth Edition

Counseling the Culturally Diverse, 8th Edition, is a revised, essential version of the most widely-used text and resource on multicultural counseling, shortened by 10% to better fit into a semester format.

Chapters have been rewritten so instructors may choose to use them sequentially or in any order that best supports course goals. The winning formula for each chapter remains the same: Each chapter begins with an outline of Objectives, follows with a real life counseling case vignette, narrative, or contemporary incident that introduce the major themes of the chapter, an in-depth discussion of the theory, research and practice in multicultural counseling, an integrative section on “Implications for Clinical Practice,” and an ending “Summary.”  Each chapter contains numerous “Reflection and Discussion Questions” and “real life” case examples that allow students to integrate research/theory with practice.  Many cases studies are new to this edition.
