The book has two parts. Part I focuses on traditional finance concepts and demonstrates MATLAB’S finance capabilities as applied to those concepts. In Chapter 1, readers will learn the basic concepts that will be repeated throughout the text. Once they have mastered the contents of the first chapter, they can go directly to the chapters that interest them or read the material sequentially. Part II demonstrates how MATLAB can be used as a computational platform that does more than solve specific finance problems. The material shows how you can create interactive and reusable code, link with external data sources, use graphics to analyze and communicate your results effectively in multiple formats.
