Chemostratigraphy across major chronological eras highlights important global environmental changes across major stratigraphic boundaries in the Earth´s geological history. Oceanic and terrestrial records of elemental changes and isotope chemostratigraphy are valuable tools in establishing major tectonic and climatic changes. The use of geochemical and stable isotopic proxies have shown distinct, elemental and isotopic chemostratigraphic events across Neoproterozoic to Cambrian, Paleozoic-Mesozoic (Permian-Triassic) and Cretaceous-Paleogene boundaries from different continents. Study of these past geological-chronological records holds the key for understanding the multiple proxies and diverse consequences of these changes. Thus, the proposed volume focuses on global studies from Archean-Paleoproterozoic, Proterozoic-Paleozoic, Paleozoic-Mesozoic and Mesozoic-Paleogene major, trace, PGE and REE elemental and stable and radiogenic isotope variations for a better understanding of the causes and effects within the atmosphere, biosphere and hydrosphere in the geological past.

Volume highlights include:

- solutions to several intriguing problems of Earth processes related to chemostratigraphy on micro-global scale
- state-of-the-art of chemostratigraphy on the study of major chronostratigraphical boundaries and how it contributes to broaden the knowledge of these boundaries
- chemical signatures that can unravel environment conditions and evolutionary changes across major chronostratigraphical boundaries

Chemostratigraphy across major chronological eras is a valuable resource for earth-science students, researchers and teaching professionals in the fields of sedimentary petrology, stratigraphy, isotope geology, geochemistry, petroleum geology, atmospheric science, oceanography, climate change and environmental science.
