Advanced Analysis of Variance (AANOVA)

This book proposes a new concept of advanced analysis of variance (AANOVA).  It extends ANOVA methods allowing global reasoning only by special methods of simultaneous inference, allowing individual conclusions. The book focuses on normal, binomial and categorical data. It covers most of theory and approaches on ANOVA and reviews the current development in the subject area and introduces three new advanced approaches: a) testing for equivalence and non-inferiority; b) testing for directional (monotonic or restricted) alternatives; and c) to the analyses emerging from categorical data. These are three very noticeable families of problems which have important and daily applications in most practical activities related to experimental data: bioequivalence, clinical trials, industrial experiments, pharmaco-statistics, and quality control, to name a few, and real examples are provided. The book will be of interest to researchers and practitioners in those fields and many other areas of applied statistics.
