Although the basic theories of thermodynamics are adequately covered by a number of existing texts, there is little literature that addresses more advanced topics. Thorough coverage of the first and second laws of thermodynamics precedes practical applications, including: solar energy, refrigeration, air conditioning, thermofluid design, chemical deisgn, and constructual design. Worked problems and homework problems support coverage of single-phase, multi-phase, chemically reactive systems, constructal theory, thermodynamic optimization, entropy generation minimization, and sustainability.
