This book evaluates the rapid development in hacking Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions (SCADA) systems. The advanced text provides new preventative models and metrics for the security of SCADA systems, which will best serve industry professionals such as assessment practitioners and SCADA security engineers. The first chapter introduces the problem statement and an overview of future cyber -attacks. The second chapter acts as both an introduction to SCADA systems and a preface for the following chapters. The third and fourth cover techniques and models proposed to assess security of SCADA systems. The fifth chapter introduces metrics and how they contribute to analyzing the security of SCADA systems. The sixth, and last, chapter of the book provides three case studies targeting different SCADA systems in order to understand how the techniques, models, and metrics are applied.
