Intended to encourage professors to start a course on “Biochips and Medical Imaging,” this textbook covers state-of-the-art and emerging bio-sensors, biochips, and imaging of systems (including the endocrine system, the circulatory system and the immune system). Medical diagnostics are divided into biochips (in-vitro diagnostics) and medical and molecular imaging (in-vivo imaging). The course will includes in-depth examples of biochips in diagnosing cancer and cardiovascular diseases, and the role of in-vitro and in-vivo diagnostics in these fields. The book assumes zero biology knowledge and minimal math background.
