This textbook provides a detailed discussion of biological agents currently listed as bioterrorism threats by the Centers for Disease Control. When appropriate, these discussions will include historical examples of actual use of these agents as well as basic background information on microbiology and immunology. Each chapter focuses on a different agent or group of agents and begins with a factual (if available) or fictional case study of exposure to the agent. The book includes Chapter Review questions, and the instructor’s supplemental materials with PowerPoint presentations and a Test Bank for each chapter.
