This book covers many of the main aspects of the adsorption of heavy metals. It analyzes the thermodynamic and kinetics of heavy metal adsorption process and applies it to specific sorbents such as iron oxides, clays minerals, soils, biomass (dead and alive), and mixture systems.  Some of this sorbents have potential applications as new technologies for detoxification or to remediate metal-contaminated industrial effluents
